The rules of a slow world

1. Treat everyone with care

Lumira is a slow, worldwide space for people looking for a real connection. Harassment, hate speech, unsolicited sexual content, spam, scams, and impersonation are not welcome and will get your account removed without warning. You must be 18 or older to use Lumira.

2. Photos and messages stay inside Lumira

Any photo, voice note, letter, video, or personal detail that another member shares with you inside Lumira belongs to them. You may view it inside the app. You may not:

• Download, screenshot, screen-record, print, or otherwise copy another member's photos, videos, or messages.
• Re-share their photos, videos, or messages on any other platform, group chat, website, social network, or with anyone outside of Lumira.
• Use anyone's likeness, name, or content to train AI models, build datasets, or generate new imagery of them.
• Contact them off-platform without their explicit consent given inside Lumira.

Sharing another member's photo or private message outside of Lumira is a serious violation. It is grounds for immediate account termination and, depending on where you live, may also violate image-rights, privacy, and intimate-imagery laws. You agree that Lumira and the affected member may pursue any legal remedies available.

3. Your own content

You keep ownership of what you post. You grant Lumira a limited licence to store and display it inside the app so the service can function. You are responsible for what you upload — don't post anything you don't have the right to share.

4. Lumira is a platform, not a matchmaker or bodyguard

Lumira introduces people. We do not vet members, verify identities beyond the badges shown in-app, run background checks, or supervise your conversations, meetings, or travel. Any interaction, meeting, trip, or relationship you form with another member is your own decision and your own responsibility. Use common sense: meet in public, tell a friend, and trust your instincts.

5. Limitation of liability & waiver

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lumira, its founders, employees, and contractors are not liable for:

• The conduct of any other member, on or off the platform, including but not limited to misuse of your photos, harassment, fraud, physical harm, or emotional distress.
• Any loss, injury, or damage arising from a meeting, trip, relationship, or transaction with another member.
• Service outages, data loss, bugs, or unavailability of any Lumira feature.
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind.

You agree to release and hold harmless Lumira and its team from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of your use of the service or your interactions with other members, and you agree not to sue Lumira for such claims. Nothing in this section limits any right you cannot waive under the mandatory laws of your country.

6. Enforcement

We may suspend or delete accounts, remove content, or ban devices at any time and without notice if we believe someone has broken this agreement or put another member at risk.

7. Changes

We may update this agreement occasionally. If a change is material, we'll ask you to accept it again the next time you open Lumira.
